Wok burner manufacturers

When sourcing wok burners, the most critical factor is the Heat Output (BTU/hr or kW). High-performance commercial units typically range from 50,000 to over 150,000 BTU to achieve 'Wok Hei'. You must also verify the Burner Type (e.g., Jet Burner for intense heat or Duckbill Burner for quieter, even distribution). Ensure the Frame Material is heavy-duty 304 Stainless Steel for corrosion resistance and that the Wok Ring is made of Cast Iron to withstand extreme thermal shock.

Compliance is non-negotiable for gas appliances. For the North American market, look for ETL or CSA Sanitation and Gas Safety certifications. For the European market, CE marking is mandatory. Ensure the unit includes a Flame Failure Device (FFD), which automatically shuts off gas flow if the pilot light goes out, and check that the Gas Valve is a high-quality, pressure-regulated component to prevent leaks.

Wok burners are usually engineered for a specific gas type. Natural Gas (NG) is common for permanent restaurant installations with utility lines, while Liquid Propane (LP) is preferred for outdoor catering or mobile food trucks. You must specify the gas type during procurement because the Orifice Size and Pressure Regulator differ; using the wrong gas type is a major fire hazard.

To maintain peak efficiency, the Burner Heads must be cleaned regularly to prevent carbon buildup and grease clogging the jets. Look for models with a Removable Drip Tray and a Water-Cooled Top Surface (common in Chinese ranges) to reduce heat stress on the metal and simplify cleaning. Cast iron components should be checked for cracks every 6 months.

The biggest risk is Technical Incompatibility regarding gas pressure and connection standards (e.g., NPT vs. BSP threads). Always request a Technical Drawing and specify your local Gas Pressure (WC or mbar) requirements. Additionally, ensure the supplier provides Seaworthy Packaging, such as Plywood Crating, to prevent the heavy cast iron parts from cracking during transit.

Prioritize Audited Suppliers on Made-in-China.com who have undergone third-party inspections by SGS or TÜV Rheinland. Review their Export History to see if they have experience with your specific country's customs regulations. Requesting a Video Factory Audit to see the burners being Leak Tested in real-time is a highly effective way to ensure quality before final payment.

For bulk orders, negotiate based on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) rather than just the unit price. Ask for a Spare Parts Kit (thermocouples, valves, and igniters) to be included in the price, as these are low-cost for the factory but expensive to source locally. For shipping, use FOB (Free On Board) terms to maintain control over your freight costs and choose a forwarder experienced in handling Oversized/Heavy Kitchen Equipment.
