Copper hydroxide price manufacturers

When sourcing Copper Hydroxide, the price is primarily driven by the Copper (Cu) content, which typically ranges from 54% to 62% for technical grade. You must verify the particle size (mesh), as finer particles provide better suspension in agricultural fungicides, and the solubility/dispersion rate. Ensure the heavy metal impurities (such as Lead, Arsenic, and Cadmium) are within the limits specified by FAO/WHO standards or your local agricultural department.

For agricultural use (fungicides), the focus is on bio-availability and rainfastness, requiring specific surfactants that may increase the price. For industrial applications like rayon production or battery electrodes, chemical purity and pH stability are paramount. Feed-grade Copper Hydroxide requires strict toxicological clearance, which often commands a premium price compared to industrial-grade variants.

Buyers must ensure the supplier provides a Certificate of Analysis (COA) and a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) compliant with GHS standards. For agricultural exports, check for EPA registration (USA) or EU Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009 compliance. If the product is intended for organic farming, verify OMRI listing or equivalent organic certifications, as these significantly impact marketability and pricing.

Copper Hydroxide prices are highly sensitive to the LME (London Metal Exchange) copper spot prices. Most professional suppliers on Made-in-China.com will offer quotes valid for only 3 to 7 days due to market volatility. It is advisable to monitor copper price trends and consider bulk purchasing when the LME index is low to lock in better margins.

The main risks include quality inconsistency between samples and bulk orders, and logistics delays due to the hazardous nature of chemicals. To mitigate this, always use third-party inspection services (like SGS or Intertek) to verify the chemical composition before the balance payment is made. Ensure the supplier uses UN-approved packaging to prevent moisture absorption and leakage during sea transit.

Focus on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) rather than just the unit price. Negotiate for tiered pricing based on annual volume rather than single orders. Request CIF (Cost, Insurance, and Freight) terms if you are unfamiliar with hazardous goods logistics, as experienced suppliers often have better contracts with specialized chemical carriers. On Made-in-China.com, look for Diamond Members or Audited Suppliers to ensure a higher level of reliability.

Copper Hydroxide is often classified under UN 3077 (Environmentally Hazardous Substance, Solid, N.O.S.) depending on its concentration and formulation. You must ensure the supplier provides a Dangerous Goods (DG) Declaration. For shipping to countries with strict environmental laws, ensure the packaging is double-layered (PE inner bag + PP woven bag or fiber drum) to maintain product stability and comply with port safety regulations.

Utilize Secured Payment services provided by reputable platforms like Made-in-China.com to ensure funds are only released upon proof of shipment. For first-time orders, consider a Letter of Credit (L/C) for high-value transactions. Always verify the supplier's Business License and Export Permit for Precursor Chemicals (if applicable) to avoid legal complications at customs.
