B2B buyers must ensure products are made of 100% medical-grade silicone, which is non-porous, hypoallergenic, and body-safe. Avoid materials containing phthalates, lead, or heavy metals. It is essential to request ROHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) and REACH compliance certificates to ensure the chemical composition meets international safety benchmarks for skin-contact products.

Focus on waterproof ratings (IPX7 or higher) to ensure durability and ease of cleaning. Battery technology should prioritize rechargeable lithium-ion batteries with magnetic USB charging to eliminate open ports. Additionally, evaluate the noise level (decibel rating); premium products typically operate at less than 50dB to ensure user privacy and comfort.

For the US market, products must be FDA-registered (Class II medical devices for certain categories). For the European Union, CE marking and WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) compliance are mandatory. If the product includes wireless or Bluetooth functionality, FCC (US) or RED (EU) certification is required to verify radio frequency safety.

Request motor life-cycle test reports (ensuring at least 200-500 hours of continuous operation) and button durability tests. For silicone products, a tensile strength test should be performed to ensure the material does not tear easily. Always source from manufacturers listed on Made-in-China.com who hold ISO 9001 certification for consistent quality management systems.

Customs regulations for 'adult products' vary significantly by country. Use neutral packaging and ensure the HS Code (typically 9019.10 or 3926.90) is accurately declared. Avoid explicit imagery on outer shipping cartons to prevent customs seizures or delays in conservative regions. Partnering with a freight forwarder experienced in sensitive cargo is highly recommended.

Focus on MOQ (Minimum Order Quantity) flexibility for initial market testing. Negotiate for OEM/ODM services, such as custom logo engraving and bespoke packaging, which add significant brand value. Request a tiered pricing structure where the unit cost drops by 15-25% as volume increases from 500 to 2,000 units.

Utilize Secured Trading Services provided by platforms like Made-in-China.com to ensure payment is only released upon confirmation of shipment. Always conduct a pre-shipment inspection (PSI) via a third-party agency (like SGS or Intertek) to verify that the goods match the approved samples before the final balance is paid.

For high-value, low-volume orders, Air Express (DHL/FedEx) is preferred for speed and tracking reliability. For bulk inventory, Sea Freight (LCL/FCL) is more cost-effective. Ensure the supplier provides a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) and a UN38.3 Test Report for products containing lithium batteries to comply with international air and sea transport regulations.
