For epson 9890 printhead manufacturers

The Epson 9890 utilizes the MicroPiezo TFP (Thin Film Piezo) printhead technology. When sourcing, ensure the head features 8 channels with 360 nozzles per channel, totaling 2,880 nozzles. It must support a minimum droplet size of 3.5 picoliters and utilize Variable-sized Droplet Technology to ensure high-resolution output. Verify that the printhead is compatible with UltraChrome K3 with Vivid Magenta ink sets to prevent chemical corrosion of the nozzle plate.

A New Original printhead comes in factory-sealed anti-static packaging with a unique QR code and serial number that matches the manufacturer's database. Refurbished heads often show slight ink staining on the manifold or scratches on the gold-plated surface. Crucially, check if the head is 'Unlocked' or 'First-locked/Second-locked'; for international buyers, an unlocked version is generally required to ensure compatibility with various mainboard firmware versions without regional lockout issues.

Suppliers should ideally hold ISO 9001 certification for quality management. Since this is a precision electronic component, ensure the product complies with RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) to meet international environmental standards. Request a Nozzle Check Pattern report or a video of the specific unit being tested with a 100% firing rate across all channels before shipment.

This printhead is primarily used in large-format professional photo printing, proofing, and fine art reproduction. To ensure longevity, the environment must maintain a humidity level of 40-60% to prevent ink drying at the nozzle. Buyers should advise end-users to use high-quality filtered inks and perform regular capping station cleaning to avoid head strikes and premature clogging.

The most significant risk is receiving 'dead on arrival' (DOA) units or counterfeit goods. Because printheads are sensitive to static and physical shock, improper packaging can lead to internal membrane rupture. Furthermore, many suppliers offer no warranty once ink has been introduced into the head. To mitigate this, use Made-in-China.com's secured payment services and only release funds after verifying the physical integrity and serial numbers upon arrival.

Insist on double-layered vacuum anti-static packaging and the use of shock-absorbent foam. For shipping, choose express couriers (DHL, FedEx, or UPS) rather than postal services to minimize transit time and handling. Negotiate for the supplier to include shipping insurance that specifically covers 'fragile electronic components' to protect against loss or damage during cross-border transit.

Printhead prices are highly sensitive to market supply. Instead of just pushing for a lower unit price, negotiate for tiered pricing based on annual volume or ask for bundled discounts including related consumables like dampers, wipers, or capping stations. For orders exceeding 10 units, aim for a 5-8% discount compared to single-unit retail prices, and request priority allocation during periods of manufacturer shortages.

Ensure the Proforma Invoice (PI) clearly states the HS Code (typically 844399) and the exact condition of the head (e.g., 'Brand New Original Unlocked'). Verify the supplier's Export License and check for any anti-dumping duties applicable to electronic parts in your specific country. Always conduct transactions through verified channels on Made-in-China.com to ensure recourse in case of disputes regarding product authenticity.
