Metribuzin 70 wp manufacturers

Metribuzin 70 WP is a selective triazinone herbicide containing 70% active ingredient by weight in a Wettable Powder (WP) formulation. Buyers must verify the suspensibility rate (minimum 70%), wet sieve test results (98% passing through 45μm mesh), and wetting time (maximum 60 seconds) to ensure effective field application. High-quality batches should have a moisture content below 2% to prevent caking during storage.

This herbicide is primarily used for pre-emergence and post-emergence control of broadleaf weeds and annual grasses. It is highly effective in crops such as potatoes, tomatoes, sugarcane, soybeans, and wheat. Buyers should confirm the selectivity and dosage recommendations with the supplier to avoid phytotoxicity, especially in sensitive varieties of soybeans or tomatoes.

As a chemical pesticide, the supplier must provide a Certificate of Analysis (COA) for every batch. For cross-border trade, ensure the manufacturer holds an ICAMA (Institute for the Control of Agrochemicals, Ministry of Agriculture) export registration. Compliance with FAO/WHO specifications for Metribuzin is the gold standard for quality assurance. Additionally, the product must be accompanied by a Safety Data Sheet (SDS/MSDS) updated according to GHS standards.

Standard packaging usually involves 25kg fiber drums or woven bags with PE inner liners to protect against moisture. For retail-ready sourcing, specify 500g or 1kg aluminum foil bags. Storage must be in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated warehouse, away from seeds, food, and fertilizers. Ensure the shelf life is at least 2 years from the date of manufacture.

Metribuzin is classified under UN 3077 (Environmentally Hazardous Substance, Solid, N.O.S.), belonging to Hazard Class 9. You must use a freight forwarder experienced in Dangerous Goods (DG). Ensure the supplier provides the DGD (Dangerous Goods Declaration) and that the packaging meets UN-certified standards to avoid port rejection or heavy fines.

Utilize Made-in-China.com's Secured Trading Service to ensure payment is only released after shipping documents are verified. It is highly recommended to hire a third-party inspection agency (like SGS or BV) to perform pre-shipment sampling and lab testing to confirm the active ingredient content is exactly 70%.

Every country has unique pesticide registration laws. Before purchasing, confirm that the specific brand or manufacturer is registered with your local Ministry of Agriculture. Importing unregistered pesticides can lead to customs seizure and destruction of goods. Always request the Technical Material (TC) source information from the supplier for local registration support.

Agrochemical prices fluctuate based on raw material (intermediates) costs and seasonal demand. To get the best price, aim for off-season procurement (typically Q3 or early Q4). For bulk orders exceeding 5 metric tons, you can usually negotiate a 5-10% discount. Always clarify if the quoted price is FOB (Free On Board) or CIF (Cost, Insurance, and Freight) to accurately calculate your landed cost.
