Pp juice cup manufacturers

Buyers should prioritize Food-Grade Polypropylene (PP), which is BPA-free and known for its high heat resistance (up to 120°C) and chemical stability. Ensure the material is 100% recyclable to meet global sustainability trends. For cold pressed juices, verify the clarity level (transparency) of the PP, as high-clarity PP provides a glass-like appearance while remaining shatter-proof and lightweight.

For the US market, products must comply with FDA 21 CFR 177.1520 regulations. For the EU, EU Regulation No. 10/2011 regarding plastic materials intended to come into contact with food is essential. Additionally, look for LFGB certification (Germany) for higher quality assurance and ISO 22000 for food safety management systems at the manufacturing site.

Request samples to test the rim thickness and stiffness, ensuring the cup does not collapse under pressure. The sealing compatibility is critical; verify if the cups are designed for U-shape or flat heat-sealing films or specific matching lids (Dome or Flat). A leak-proof test should be conducted by filling the cup and inverting it for 30 seconds to check for drips.

Common methods include Offset Printing (cost-effective for large volumes, up to 6 colors) and Silk Screen Printing (better for small batches with tactile texture). For high-end branding, In-Mold Labeling (IML) offers superior graphics and is wear-resistant. Ensure the supplier uses food-safe, non-toxic inks that do not migrate into the beverage.

PP cups are lightweight but bulky, making them prone to crushing. Require the supplier to use 5-layer corrugated export cartons with internal polybag liners. Specify a maximum stacking height for pallets and ensure the container is not overloaded to prevent bottom-tier boxes from collapsing under vertical pressure during long-transit sea freight.

Focus on Volume-Based Pricing Tiers; since PP is a commodity, prices fluctuate with raw material costs. Negotiate a fixed price for a specific period or a discount for Full Container Load (FCL) orders. Ask for free mold customization if the annual order volume exceeds a certain threshold (e.g., 500,000 units) to reduce initial CAPEX.

Utilize Secured Payment services on Made-in-China.com to ensure funds are only released upon proof of shipment. Always hire a third-party inspection agency (like SGS or Intertek) to perform a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI). The inspector should check for burrs/sharp edges, weight consistency (±0.2g), and odor neutrality before the balance payment is made.

Be aware of Anti-Dumping Duties or Single-Use Plastic (SUP) bans in your target country (e.g., EU SUP Directive). Ensure the HS Code (392410) is correctly declared. To optimize shipping costs, consider nested packaging to maximize the number of units per cubic meter, significantly lowering the landed cost per unit.
